SEED 2 - Vortex of War App Reviews

A really decent game. Still could use improvments for inventory

The first seed game was one of my favorite games on the iphone. I was excited when this game came out and the first thing I noticed was the dumbed down graphics. The general graphics and design arts are poor, everything was faded, made the game look like it came out 3 years ago. The character arts have changed but not In a good way, master kanto looks like a homeless hobo and litta looks like a girl. The character model is different from the character art, overall the graphics is actually worse than the first, which is surprising and a big let down. This version gives You three classes of weapons instead of four. They took out the lance, which is fine cuz it was useless in the first game( actually, sword and gun are both useless too since staff is the most powerful with magic skills.) in the skills. Menu you will notice that you get only 5 skills per class instead of 6, which is ridiculous since we are already one class short, it mean that the developers should have focused alot more on the remaining three classes and the skills should be more not less than the previous game. They did however, add the charge Attack and Dash attack, which, made the game Play slightly more interesting. But then they failed at it by screwing up the sp gauge. Charge attack and dash attack both requires sp, which is fine, but the screw up is on how fast the sp depletes and how slow it regenerates. I know that you can increase your sp via wisdom stat and restore the guage with pots, but it just makes the whole thing less satisfying. They also took out the weapon quickslot function, so you cant quickly change between classes, have to constantly go to the poorly designed menu and switch your weapon, which made the whole leveling of different classes frustrating and you will end up leveling just one class anyways. I am only part way through so I am not sure if it gets better towards the end, but I fine the whole controlling of the game difficult and annoying. D pad control is stiff, menu control is horrible and the crystal menu button is poorly placed. The game really isnt that bad, just compared to the first game, its not better. Which is sad cuz compared to other sequels of rpg games, Zenonia 2 and hybrid 2, both great and both alot better than the previous games, made seed 2 look alot worse in comparison.

Graphics are worse, but gameplay is good. The game over screens should have been removed as they destroy the flow of the game and are annoying as hell

Let me state that this is a fun game. The game present interesting balance between potion drinking and game over if you die. It is a satisfying challenge to start again if you lose, especially if you forgot to save for a while. The Items and skills will keep your self engaged. Thank you for good arpg.

What the hell happened to the graphics? Seriously it looks like it came out 5 years ago. Its worse then seed1. By the way I liked seed 1 :3

Best game out there next to chaos rings

Really, I cant even see properly whats going on the screen while playing. Graphics are purely CRAP!! Whoever has made this game, should understand that we are not living in a stone-age!! We all RPG players know the difference between good graphic RPG & the bad ones!!! Improve graphics first of all !!!

The graphics havent improved from the first but it runs a bit better and the game play is solid. Its with the buy with lots of game play time, better than zenonia 2 in terms of game play but not in graphics.

I would say its a OK game. Ive finish the 1st round using gun, just start the second. What I like 1 Compare to the first chapte, the h @ s style is more cool than 1st. I think the style is even better than Zenonia 2. Both story and fighting style are polished. 2 Loads of equipment, loot and Magic item finding, fortify, compound, just like diablo. 3 Great balance between battle and potion drinking What I hate 1 too big Pixel graphic, even worse than seed 1, item icon way too small. 2 too many "kill monster and get xx item quest", classic MMO element but ABSOLUTELY HATE IT! 3 Way too hard to get legend item. and HATE the item would disappear when failed fortify Overall I would give it a 4---a solid ARPG, but needs update

Ya the grafic are a bit blur but its fun and deep, love it!!!

This game is below average, wheres the autosave button? I hate losing everything from dying without saving

The game is really solid, while it does lose some features from the 1st game. The game play is awesome, and is definitely one of the better rpg games on the iphone. The graphics could use some work, but its still decent. Edit: DarkSarrge is an idiot. The devs should make a mandatory IQ test before letting people post reviews for their apps. Freedom of speech or not, some people are just too dumb and should not be heard from. He is complaining about having to pay for premium items on a $0.99 game, yet states that Chillingo lost a potential customer who was going to buy Seed 1 Gold for $9.99. You dont have to buy items. Youre complaining about a $0.99 game, what makes you think anyone is going to believe you were ever going to buy Seed 1 Gold? You sound like an angry cheapskate.

When i got this i expected a well polished version of seed 1, however, they compleatly changed the graphics and layout, resulting in an unwelcoming game they should have stuck with the old enviroments, if they did, i would give the game 5 stars, but as far as i am concerned, this game isnt even worth .99

Way to dark. Cannot hardly play because one cannot see. And their is no quick save button like in seed 1. I regret purchasing it.

I just downloaded seed 2 cause seed 1 was awesome but I cant even play it cause when it starts it immediately closes before I can do anything anyone else have this problem well anyways update and fix this problem please

No effort was made to account for the ipads faster graphics and CPU. The animation and movement is way too fast. Adding a timer to your game loop so it runs at the right speed regardless of system speed is game programming 101, guys! Clue.

Was hoping for more. Controls are annoying like other reviews say, I tried to play several times and just found myself wishing I was playing something else. Lacks fun/polish

This game have a very good plot. when Game end, you are allow to replay the story with 33% of your skill points and inventory equips, on top of that, story plot change a bit at the end. Tip of playing: adjust your game speed down to 1, or 2. Push on save button whenever you move to next zone. That should fix majority of complains. Feels like playing FF11 all over again ^^. (click on the left switch again to slow down the spike speed) Enjoy the .99€ value while you can!

This game only lets you replay once for the second ending!! After tht u cant replay a third time!! N it def needs retina display! Plz let us play after twice
